BEHIND THE LENSES

I am an optometrist and practice with my wife in North Carolina.

​I started to become interested in vintage and antique eyewear while in optometry school. While sorting through donated glasses, I was intrigued by some of the styles worn in the 50s and 60s. I felt they had so much more character than 99% of the modern eyewear that was being sold. After school I started to become a more serious collector and have started to build a collection spanning from the 1600s to the 1970s.

My main focus now is on Antique Eyewear, pre 1900. I hope you enjoy looking at what I have found.
